I love Ann Sullivan’s “First Poem of Summer”
It sends me to Lake Merritt in the center
of urban Oakland where young Oscar Grant
was shot in the back by police
    and libraries threatened with closure
to rent a kayak and float among the birds.

I also like Ann Sullivan’s “First Poem of Summer”. Very impressive thought. It touches my my heart.
